Lines and Wrinkles
Facial lines and Wrinkles otherwise known as rhytides form as a natural part of the ageing processes.
LInes and wrinkles are commonly asymmetrical, as people tend to smile or frown more on one side than the other, or consistently sleep on one side rather than the other. The cause and nature of the lines and wrinkles will dictate what is the best option for treatment.
There are many factors which accelerate the formation of lines and wrinkles and these include
- The ageing process
- Gravity
- Muscle movement (know as dynamic lines)
- Injury
- Surgery
- Sun damage
- Acne
- Other skin diseases with a tendency to scar (e.g. discoid lupus)
- Smoking
