Hyperhidrosis
Sweating is normal and necessary for us to control our body temperature. we sweat more when we exercise, are in warm or hot surroundings, become anxious or are ill. Sweating is regulated by the sympathetic nervous system. In about 1% of the population, this system is revved-up and works overtime causing sweating to occur more frequently in excess and at inappropriate times. It can occur in many different areas of the body this excessive sweating is known as Hyperhidrosis. It affects both sexes equally, and all races.
Primary axillary hyperhidrosis is not a temporary condition most commonly starts in childhood or sometimes from adolescence.
Excessive sweating can also cause irritating or painful skin conditions as can some of the treatments available to treat it.
If you are struggling with this condition following a full medical consultation if suitable we can prescribe and treat this with Botulinum A toxin.
